The Essence Vault, as part of the Jaq Group has been working closely with NOW Group in developing their awareness of employees with neurodiverse conditions including Autism and learning difficulties. JAQ group has a team of 150 professionals and brands include The Essence Vault, Liquid London and JAQ Fulfilment.
JAQ Group has supported three NOW Group participants into paid jobs and provided work placements in their warehouse, picking and packing products. The company has been open to reasonable adjustments for participants, including adjustment of break times, providing a buddy to work alongside them, and recognising individuals’ barriers.
Jordin, Recruitment Manager, has worked closely with NOW Group, being a strong advocate of equality in the workplace. Jordin and Genevieve, Head of HR, attend our training events and Jaq Group is Jam Card Friendly. They have both spoken at events for NOW Group advising that the JAM Card disability awareness training has been invaluable in creating an inclusive workplace. Jaq Group have also stated that working with NOW Group has helped them become a more disability confident employer and hope to continue to build on this relationship giving more participants placements and jobs in the future.
