Henderson Foodservice, a division of the Henderson Group, a Top 100 NI Company has over 50 years experience in foodservice providing services to the hospitality industry across Ireland and current employs over 500 staff members.
Already working with NOW Group as a supplier to Loaf Catering Hendersons entered into a collaboration with NOW Group to provide industry expertise and placement opportunities to participants in the NOW Group Warehouse Academy. As a result of this partnership four NOW Group participants secured full-time employment with the company. Of the four jobs secured three of the participants required Workable support to ensure they had reasonable adjustments implemented. All 3 participants will shortly be positively progressed off Workable support as they are now able to independently sustain their roles with internal support from the Hendersons team. The support from NOW Group and Hendersons has hugely increased the confidence and skill set of the participants. In addition have provided additional training supporting participants through training licenses such as fork lift and reach truck training which will only enhance their career progression through the business. In January 2024, we asked the team within Hendersons to attend our Employer Breakfast in which Noel Simpson and Iain VanMaaren discussed the journey they have had with Hendersons and how much they enjoy their role. In addition to this NOW Group and Hendersons were invited to speak at the IFEX event to showcase their working relationship and advise on inclusive workplaces. We look forward to continuing to partner with Hendersons and increase their disability awareness across their branches.
